Welcome
The Aqua Society of Greater Atlanta
In 1988, aquatic exercise pioneer Helen Tilden founded the Aqua Society of Atlanta. She, along with thirteen local charter members, elected "to promote quality water exercise" as the society's mission. The first of its kind in the United States, the organization now boasts 100 members - including several members from different states and countries. The Aqua Society is recognized and supported by the Aquatic Exercise Association (AEA), Arthritis Foundation and various segments of the medical community.
A non-profit organization, the Aqua Society of Atlanta strives to improve professional competence, enhance recognition of aquatic exercise and support professional growth through continuing education.
The Aqua Society of Atlanta is proud to be one of the forerunners of the aquatic exercise industry.
